Can foals benefit?

Will foals get the benefit of OCD while on broodmares who are getting OCD as a daily ration? When should foals be started on OCD, when weaned or while still nursing?

    Myrna,

Actually the OCD Pellets were designed to be fed during pregnancy starting in the second trimester. The fetus then receives the necessary ingredients to build a strong skeletal system. However, many clients begin feeding OCD Pellets to the mare when the foal is born and others start feeding the Pellets to the foal at 2-3 weeks when it begins to nibble feed on it’s own. The nutrients contained within the OCD Pellets are transferred through the milk to the nursing foal so beginning when the foal is born is very effective as the foal is developing a great deal of bone as it matures. The key is to provide the nutritional requirements for the development of a strong bone matrix as soon as possible.
Thank you for your interest in OCD Pellets. Have a great day!!
